Totally Random

Today I feel a little random. So I'm going to totally ramble here:

I’m learning about the world of myths in school right now. Can you say “so excited.” I love the world of mythology! Zeus, Poseidon, Athena, Theseus, Herakles…Yeah, I’m partial to Greek mythology. But I’m starting to broaden my taste.

I totally sucked at the Read-a-Thon last week. The timing just ended up being off and I didn’t read nearly as much as I usually did. I’m trying to make up for it – somewhat. But I was serious about pacing myself (not during a Read-a-thon, of course). I need to slow down a little when I read. I’m trying. LOL Hard.

I’m reading Maximum Ride by James Patterson and A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks (I know I was supposed to read the Sparks book for the Read-a-Thon but I didn’t get to it). Love both stories – very different though. Since there’s absolutely nothing on TV to watch, I’ll be reading until The Vampire Diaries comes back on in the fall. Not a bad trade for time though.

I just bought six books on Amazon last week. I'm eyeing four more. Help me: I have an addiction.

It’s raining, finally. It hasn’t rained in a while. I was starting to get nervous. They banned fireworks this year so we’re forced to go to the Festival to see them because of the drought. That’s a bummer!

My revisions for The Chloe Chronicles are coming along really well. I can’t wait to finish, but I’m not rushing it. I learned my lesson about rushing revisions.

I’m going to eat a bowl of Chocolate Shredded Wheat now. Yeah, it’s good.
What’s happening with you today? Anything interesting to share? Leave it in the comments.

Have a great day. Read a book and laugh.

    1. Yes, I sympathize with your book addiction! Buying books on kindle is so easy and fast, I have 'em lined up. A storyline has to be really compelling for me to stick with it, because I have so many others in waiting!
As for me, I had gum surgery on Monday (ouch). I'm fine, but I'm only supposed to eat soft foods for a week. I had peanut-butter this morning, and I had to suck it too hard to swallow it. That made my gums ache. I'm itching for some chips. Arggh.

    2. I like your ramblings! I'm passionate about Greek mythology, in a big way! And I love chocolate shredded wheat! I'm busy cleaning, squaring the house away for our trip and making lists! :)

    3. I love Greek mythology too! I'm what's not to love about it?

I read several books at a time, so I hear you. I went on a buying spree about a month ago. I bought so many books, I still haven't read them all! Maximum Ride is a good one. I've read them all except Angel (the new one).

    4. Love your blog. I ramble about my week on mine as well. I just returned from NYC which was good for two blogs. I am always on a Lucy adventure. Look forward to reading more. I am a new GFC follower and would love a follow back on my blog when you have a moment. I am also hosting a give away. Please enter. It's a great book. Donna

    5. Hey, Catherine. Sorry about the surgery.

Thanks, Bella. Aren't chocolate shredded wheat the best!

Yeah, Kelly, I'm behind on this series. But I'm loving it so far. And who doesn't love Greek Mythology!

Hey, Donna. Thanks for the following. I'll be stopping by some time today. I have three kiddos and they wear on my time - and sanity, but that's another story or post!!! LOL

    6. Hey Dawn - I totally hear ya! I'm currently reading three books, and have five more staring at me... Help! But it's a great problem to have. Too many great books! Oh, for more time. Word of caution: An ebook reader will double your problem. Egads!

    7. I do agree, GirlParker, as problems go I could be worst off. I don't have an e-book reader. Everyone who knows me keeps saying to get one but I'm not sure I want to yet. I love the feel of a book in my hand too much still. I think that I'll cave soon though. :D

    9. I love ramblings and letting it all hang loose, because you just never know where you will end up. I think that 'I think' too much about what to post - and then after reading a post like this I get annoyed with myself for not posting the poem I wrote... The blog, yours, mine, etc., is our own piece of real estate... much appreciated post, Dawn. ( and I loved reading Greek Mythology in school)

    10. Hey, C. Lee my daughter hasn't read any of James Patterson yet. I keep telling her to read it. But she is playing catch up right now. She's reading The Book Theif. And she is absolutely loving it.

Brenda, I do the same. Sometimes I am prepared with posts for the entire week or even longer. Then sometimes I have nothing and I'm so busy that I can't think of anything. LOL I'm trying to get more organized.
